I finally graduated from school with 2:1 and I was very happy, when it was time to compile list for service, the first batch was released , my name was missing, I went to the exam officer and HOD they asked me to wait for the batch B, I patiently waited, but my name was omitted.
They released the batch C and out of all my course mate, I was the only one exempted aside those that had one or two carry overs, it was really a bad time for me, I had to wait for another extra year before I can go for service.
I was sleeping one night when someone said, how far, we watched you to please yourself, let’s see how you are going to free yourselves from the shackles that has long existed before your fathers were born.
I got up that morning , then I understood clearly that my name being omitted was not a physical mistake, it was somewhat spiritual, I have began to understand that life is more spiritual than physical, so very early in the morning, I went to my pastors house to tell him my pl0blems.
Brother Henry, how long will you slumber, you have been idle for too long, You need to take your full responsibility as a Christian and a child of God to pray, you should have grown this stage of baby food, by now you should be in adult stage.

So I decided for the first time, since I became a born again, to fast and pray, I tried researching about the importance and how effective prayer with fasting can be, Fasting and prayer can restore or strengthen your intimacy with God. Many longtime Christians find that fasting helps them rediscover their “first love” for God again. Fasting is a way to humble yourself in the sight of God .
The enemy of our souls does everything in his power to hinder our understanding and the practice of fasting with prayer.
